Well I got it to run I disconected the smog pump and disconected the choke and left the choke flap closed and the truck is running like a champ, now I just have to get another smog pump and connect it all back up so I can pass smog. But I took it out for a drive and I was loving that new weber carb, it takes off like a bat outta hell. :D

Excellent. I am glad as hell you got it running. I would hate to hear you say you sold it, and the guy who bought it told you the only thing wrong was the smog pump. Sorry I couldn't help you much, but call if you need any help in the future

Depends on if you get the weber that has smog canister hook up and two vacuum hookups coming out of the base of the carb. The one for the vacuum canister I took off of my old carb and put it in the weber. I had to get an adapter for the carb from weber it cost me 49.00 plus shipping. You will also have to get a throttle cable bracket from them also which costs 29.99. For the adjustments as in float and choke the only one I know how to adjust is the float which is suppose to be even with the top of the carb you can also go here to get air/fuel adjustments and idle speed adjustments. thats great man, i know you've been through alot of frustration, but in the end it pays off. sounds like it might be running lean since you gotta leave the choke closed.
