First, thanks for all your suggestions on my squealing clutch; I had installed the throwout bearing backward. I think the clutch still needs adjusting as it engages the engine almost immediately when I let it out (my manual is not very clear on the adjustment) does any body have experience with this?

Next question, when I was under the truck I noticed a ground strap that was connected to the underside of the driver side of truck and the other end of strap was tore off and I could not see anywhere where it was connected to, any suggestions?

Next question, my driver side door has a lot of play in it, I have to lift the door about 1/4” to shut it, I think the hinge pins are worn out, is it possible to sleeve the hinges or I’m I better off replacing them?

Last question for today, does anyone know how to quiet down the inside of these trucks it sounds like I’m riding in a tin can?

ok well there are 2bolts on the driver side of the fire wall in the motor compartment. Those are your clutch adjustment bolts. Just tighten them up untill you have a 1/2" of pedal free play, if its a new clutch it will grab perty well. That ground strap is either for the revers lights or the 4wd indicator light. Just turn the key on and put it in revers and see if your back up lights come on, and put it in 4wd and see if the light under the gas gage comes on. If its a 2wd then its the reverse lights ground. Then the doors, mine are like what you describe too. I think you can sleave the hinges, i dont see why not.

As far as the cab, if you ever remove all the interior, Dynamat the entire cab. I am gonna dynamat behind all the interior panels, and spray sound deadener, (like the spray in bedliner stuff) all over the rest of the cab. You can have this stuff color matched at most dealerships, and it is pricey but worth it.

thats normal, you kinda have to break the clutch in. my accord was the same when i got a new clutch. it's fun when there new causeing you to leave burnouts everwhere  but can get annoying. give it 2 or 3 days and it'll feel fine :D

you talking like this. i did my whole cab. i'm also doing it to certain other parts too.
like one, my inside of my fenders, back of my front bumper, bed, whole frame.

i'm doing it to pretty much anything that could rust.
i've spent way too long searching and getting all the stuff i need to restore the luv ( 4 years ).
i'll be damned if it falls apart from rust once it's finished

Exactly like that but I have seen somewhere I can get that same stuff in very light grey. That is what I am using on my cab. Looks great B

You can adjust the cable. I don't have my book here but I seem to remember that there is a place where the cable itself could be adjusted, but without the bible, I can't remember.

It may be a grounding strap. Or something you ran over, or just an eject strap. For that matter, it may be something that was used to hold a part up. I would see if there was another half somewhere, if not, then you could ground it to the chassis.

You might can tighen up the hinge. The hinge that connects to the door is where mine has wiggled loose. Mine has that same problem which I think a #10 MM short will take care of.

You can purchase a type of insulation that you can glue or screw into the firewall. Then again, you can check to see if there is a problem with a exhaust gasket at the bottom of the truck or a hole in the header. But if it sounds good you can get that sound proofing.
