 Post subject: tranny weight

i am having a '80 4x4 rebuilt tranny shipped to me and need to know the approx weight.....anybody know what it weighs? Also, does anybody know where to find a rebuild kit for a luv tranny?

i dont know the exact weight but it wouldnt be any less than 30kg.

Less than 120. I picked one up one handed the other day. Tranny and tcase unit.

i found a completely rebuilt 4x4 '80 luv tranny for 150 bucks plus the shipping which if its 130 lbs is gonna run about 100 bucks. Is that a good deal? My current tranny is whinin like a bitch and making all kinds of sounds...including grinding sounds into 2nd...
