Alrighty heres the vision i have for my trooper...
First im swapping out the square headlights for an early troopers round ones (i dont know exaclty why but i love how goofy the first gen troopers look, just a big square thing whith round headlights  )
Next bumpers, i have a good pair of twin tube bumpers from Calmini, front one will suport a 9,500lbs winch, perfect!
Now heres where things get trickey, roof rack and a snorkel (yes im going for the expedition truck look here). I havent been able to find anything for these catigories for a 1990 trooper II. Maybe you guys know something i dont or something. Well thanks anyway :D

Where'd you get Calmini bumpers, dick? Damn, I'm jealous. I found a lockrite for mine as well as a homemade winch bumper. You need to find a lockrite and weld the rear. I wouldn't SAS it if you're gonna drive it with any regularity. With a 3" body + 3" suspension you can fit up to 35s. I don't know about you, but I won't be getting that serious. You won't want to go big without upgrading the 4 banger anyway. So, I would start planning a power plant swap. You know about the 3.4L v6 bolting up to 2.8L running gear already, so start looking there. 4.88 gears would be nice too.

Why did I ramble so much? I'm trying to talk myself into this shit too. Damn that's a lot of money...

yeah calmini makes a realy nice tube bumper that has a winch mount. As far as tires, 33s will fit stock whith a little bit of cutting. I plan on running 33x10.50r15 TSL radials 8)

Well, this may sound wierd, but I built a snorkel for my blazer. I put an aircleaner in the glovebox, and used flexible ducting to go to the carb. A huge hose clamp around the duck secured it to the carb, and I used some rtv to seal the duct. I could go completely underwater as long as the door seals held. A large hole had to be cut in the firewall, and a home made grommet to protect the duct. I found alot of what I needed at home depot.

wouldn't the airbox in the cab be pretty noisy? i mean, i can hear my carburetor when i'm driving :D

i'm planning on doing this to the toyota: attach some rubber pipe flange to the carb/throttle body(whatever i have when i get around to it), and run it to a pipe that goes out the side of the fender and up the pillar to the roof, with an elbow on the end.

another good cheap mod for you guys that you NEED to do is put extended breathers on your diffs, transmission, and transfer case. believe me, it'll save you a lot of headache by preventing water from getting in there.

arent u scared the snorkel to the glove box is gonna suck all the air out and colapse the cab????? not really but if you were cruisin around all sealed up couldnt ya kinda deprive urself of oxygen or something givin it all to the engine? Just dont know how that could be very good...and whats the deal with breathers for tranny and diffs? Those things have breathers??? I didnt know...they'll suck in water???

You really dont think you never get more fresh air into your cab do you? I know it isn't water/air tight. And the fan motor runs all of the time providing you with more oxygen. I never had a problem with that on my setup. Also, yeah it was noisy, but I never sucked water into the engine either.

i'd rather have noise than a engine full of water. if you are going to do some serious offroading i think you need somekind of snorkel. and yes the axles have breathers. they don't axtually suck in air. they are just there so no pressure will build up. i added a hose to the front axle. haven't done the rear yet. the front breather was a plastic only that just slipped into a whole in the axles (it wasn't threaded). so i took a piece copper tubing a brazed it into the hole. i then put a piece of hose on that and put the original breather on the end of the hose. i'm pretty sure the rear is threaded so it will be easier.

One of the things it looks like I will wind up doing is swapping out the headlights and front cowl with a quad type of setup cause of the damage to the cowl.

Anyone know what will be needed to do the swap from the dual big headlights to the double?
