Most of you guys from Oregon should know about the Mountain Mud Fest that has been going on to replace the mud flats. i think i am getting tickets to it. i am going to put 32 inch tractor tires on the rear of the luve, and some 32 swampers on the front. i think that it should do ok for just screwing around with the stock motor, a cam, a carb, bored .20 over with some port and polish. are any of you guys going?

Never heard of the Mountain Mud Fest. Don't think my truck would make it too far from the pavement anyway... :D

mine are 28x8.50r14s. They are also bias ply so they kick ass off road but are TERRIBLE on road. We are talking mad amounts of vibration and talk about houling 8O . But its ok i dont mind those things so much, just make shure you have a set of tires whith good road manners before you get the swampers. They wear realy fast and ride and noise could get old realy fast. But as far as performance, i havnet had to air em down yet but i have been alot more daring and getting onto 3wheels alot more whith em, and they have the grip to get me out 8)
Oh and they cost $500 whith 14" wagon wheels mounted and ballenced :)

Its held here in Sweet Home Oregon, just north of Eugene, and it you are not familiar with Eugne, it is way south of Portland. It is a big event, and they sell out on tickets every year, ill try to get more info about when you can get tickets. and about the swampers, my friend has a set of 29 inch swamperx on one of his samurias, and for in comparison to how tall they are, they are damn wide. adn they are only fifty percent and they will go any were, almost as good as teh 32s on his othe samuria.

thats exactly what i did when i bought my tires. i went to the tire store ordered my tires and 4 new white wagon wheel rims to go with it. go them mounted and balanced and put them on. mine are radials but they do have alot of road noise. i think its just the aggressive tread.

if you're just gonna run straight mud bogs(like mud drags) then swamper boggers are the way to go. but if you have to turn or do anything but mud, swamper tsls will eat anything alive

Im only running 33s at the moment becouse thats all they alow for 4&6 cylinder class around here for mud racing. What im planning on doing is running 33x13.50r15 swamper LTBs up front and then some 33x14r15 Boggers out back 8) Whith no lift i dont think i can clear the boggers up front...
