Alrighty, under hard acceleration my luvs tranny torques perty hard (the sticks for the tranny and t-case wiggle perty good) and theres a wierd buzzing sound from the bellhousing. I looked and everything seems in good order. Anyone have any ideas about this?

sounds like you may have a broke motor mount. when the engine torques it could be pulling it self off the broken motor mount and going over to one side. or made the tranny mount is broke at the rear of the transmission. hopefully its nothing major like a cracked bellhousing. you might also check and make sure the bolts on the bellhousing are tight.

Just a thought, but also check those starter bolts and make sure it isn't moving around. That can make for some strange noises to be sure. The noise might also be something hanging around the firewall that gets pushed against the engine or fw when the motor moves.

I also have to second the idea of a broken or bad motor mount, it just doesn't seem like the motor and trans should wiggle around all that much. Could be that body lift is sort of magnifying the effect though, making the shifters wiggle more than you'd expect.

You could always deposit the truck in my front yard, and you won't have that problem any more.

A doone Buggie? That sounds Fab, Phat, cool (depending on your generation). You gonna rust proof the frame?

well mind you this is far off in the future. But i was going to make a full cage and get fiberglass fenders and hood for it(so it still looks like a luv) and chop the top of the cab off(it is rolled over a bit and would be too hard to salvage) and run the gage up and put Aluminum on it to resemble the cab. Then i am still thinking of trying to get an old Chevy inline six and building it up (just to keep the theme of being radicly diferent). But im thinking it will probly be a 383 or a 396 that goes into it 8)

You using the blow type of Fiberglass or the sheet?

I never thought a inline six would fit in there. Possibly one from a Ford would fit in there as well. I think I might bite the bullet and see if one of the sixes from a Ranger would fit in there (or not) but like I see around here so much: hammer to fit, paint to hide.

well i have a 300cu ford inline six thats been played whith in my F-150. I just whant to see what i could do whith a 292cu chevy inline six. I would have to move the cab back a bit or something like that. But my ford six hauls, so im curious to see if i could make a good chevy six too 8)

i have a 455 pontiac v8 with auto transmission out of a bonneville. i was thinking of making a dune buggy thing with it and a 76 chevy shortbed frame. was gonna put the motor as close to the rear axle as possible and drive in front of it. i gave up on the idea. i think i'll leave the truck together and put the motor in it and sell it. a short bed chevy pickup with a 455 should sell quick. give me some money for my next project.
