What is the best way or how to bench adjust a weber 32/36 dgav before putting it on, and is there anyway somebody could send some pics of how they have the throttle linkage hooked up on one. I put the old throttle linkage on it from the hitachi but how do I hook up the part with the adjuster on it. Thanks Shane

The way they want you to hook it up is to cut the end off of your old cable, and put it in a crappy setup they sent. I bent the cable holder, and welded the one off of the hitatchi on it. Then I put the throttle cam off of the hitatchi on the weber. It works like a dream. Hope this helps. I can post a pic tomarrow if you need it.

I put the throttle cam on mine too, I was just wondering about that holder, I'll probably end up welding it on. any ideas on how to bench adjust it. Thanks Shane

I just have a chunk of 1/4" x 1/2" aluminium bar bent into sort of a Z shape that has a hole on one end that gets bolted to one of the intake studs. The other end has a hole with a slot cut through to the side of the bar that holds the adjuster sort of like the stock holder. It is shaped something like this:

\_________
----------------\

Assuming that showed up right (ignore the ---)I think you can see what I mean. You could do the same with a piece of steel and probably use thinner stock than 1/4" but I had the piece of aluminium sitting around. I'd take pictures of it and measure it for you, but right now it is buried somewhere in my storage outside. Maybe after the ice coating on everything around here finally thaws and runs off I can get to it.

Now for the adjustments, take a look at http://www.carbs.net/Weber/adjust.htm and do the setup adjustments. Then tune it once you have it on the truck. It is fairly simple, and can be done by ear (no tach) pretty well including setting the final idle speed. The one thing I liked more than anything else about the Weber was how easy it was to set the thing up. I'd rate that even above the power gains it meant.

Im not too sure but could it be the fuel cutoff solenoid? Is it still set up for the water choke or has it been converted to the electric choke? The electric ones are available for it if your interested for $10 on buy it now on ebay don't know which one would work better though...

There is some mention of it at http://www.redlineweber.com/html/Tech/3 ... akdown.htm

You should also look through the info at http://www.redlineweber.com/html/Tech/T ... ntents.htm and see what else there might be of help to you.

The bottom link says that the fuel pressure should be between 2.5-3 pounds of pressure, my fuel pump pressure is between 5-8 pounds of pressure is this going to be alright or should I hook the fuel return line up to the other side of the fuel inlet. Thanks Shane

When I had the Weber on I picked up an inline filter with a return line coming out the side. I just found something at Autozone with about the right inlet and outlet size with a return tube pointing in about the right direction. It seemed to work alright, never starved for gas at least and didn't blow up. ;)
