All my lights work perfect however, when i turn my head lights on by left blinker only blinks like once every 20 seconds. If i rev up the engine i can get the left blinker to blink once every 5 seconds, which still isn't fast enough. When i turn my hazards on (with the headlights on) the left blinker will blink though! Any ideas?... bad ground? blinker switch? the light socket? Any help is appreciated!

Most likely some high resistance in the left hand circuit. Wrong bulb, poor contact at a bulb connection usually. Replacing the blinker unit will probably fix. There are two separate units you know, one for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights.

I took the bulb out and cleaned the socket, it definitely needed it. The effects were immediate as far as the bulbs intensity when blinking while the headlights were off. However, i turned the headlights on and got the exact same result. The left front turn signal stayed lit (very dull) and only blinked once in a while unless I hit the throttle. I did notice the front right blinker blinks like it's supposed to but duller and slower than normal it is not nearly as bad as the left blinker though.

I'm sure that sounds very confusing, but i am going to try and clean all my grounds tomorrow and see if it helps. I could have the incorrect bulb in there though, that would be fantastic as far as easy fixes go. What bulb do you use for your front blinkers?

Check grounds but it also sounds like a weak flasher relay.

Flasher relay... is that the three prong relay underneath the dash that i've read about? Fixing to go find every ground and corroded connection i can and take a brush to them. Here's to hoping that works.

Yes it is the 3 prong relay.

Cleaned some corrosion off the connections on the alternator and a couple other little random connections under the hood. The left blinker actually blinks when the headlights are on now (at the same speed as the right blinker!) but they both blink very dull. Only on the front though, the rear blinkers blink very strong. When not blinking and the headlights are on, the running lights light up very bright. There is one more connection i want to break open and clean the corrosion out of, but it's so cold out the plastic isn't forgiving enough to break apart right now. I feel like i'm getting closer though!

My bet is a bad ground on the inner fender well. It's grounded by a screw.

The drivers side screw looks pretty clean, the passenger side screw in the fender well looks a little haggard but not terrible. Either way, i can't screw either of the SOB's out because they're practically glued on there, i'm just stripping them.. i'll figure it out.

I had a blinker that was not working, and I pulled the plastic plug out and soaked in white vinegar (you can also use lemon juice). It cleaned off the corrosion, and worked a lot better.
