headbolts.com is a source, about $60 a set. JLEMOND I think is going to the Alabama Trooper meet this weekend, might not have time to ship before then.
Curious, why do you need to replace the rocker shaft bolts on a newly rebuilt head?
Upon, torquing the Rocker Arm nuts before adjusting the valves, the threads on two (2) of the studs let go. After close inspection, the stud threads looked horrible. They were rough looking from the blasting/cleaning. I did expect new studs on the new head. I called the shop in Missouri telling them what had happened and he said that the valves were adjusted and that I did not need to have done that. There was no information with the head telling me this, and the manual, says "Check the Torque on The Rocker Assembly" before adjusting the valves.
I removed the studs which do look good from the old cracked head and installed in the new head. Again, I was just trying to make sure. I will most likely re-use them.
I talked (PM) with JLEMOND at the end of last week, he was on the road then. He said that He was returning home yesterday. I hope to make contact with him this morning.
Thanks
Bill
