I few month ago I became the owner of a 1975 Luv. I had originally purchased it to harvest the 402 BBC and transmission, but after seeing how clean this little truck is I decided to keep it together and put it back on the road. However, the previous owner pulled the headlights, taillights, door panels and emblems and sold it all on ebay!

Question: What year taillights can I put on my 75, I don't care if they are not correct for the year, they just need to fit.

On the headlight side, after reading through the Newbie section, my 1975 came with dual headlights. Does the single headlights take a different grille?

If I am unable to locate the parts by the spring of 14, I may have to pull the motor anyways and junk it. But I hate to do that, I need to make this beast road legal!!!

Any help form the resident Luv experts would be greatly appreciated. My son placed a short video of the Luv I have to work with on youtube. See below ( I thing I did the link correctly)

Welcome, tail lights from 75-80 will fit your truck, 75 was first year where they moved the tail lights to the sides of the tailgate and the only year that has red turn signals (76-80 have amber turn lenses). 78-80 trucks have single headlights and they use a wider grill than the 72-77 trucks. With your radiator sticking out past the core support, no grille is going to mount in your truck (properly).

Thanks for the great information. Now I can begin my search or a pair of taillights, Actually the radiator was just sitting there and not in the location it should be. I recall the guy I got it from did have the grille mounted, so I just need to locate the headlight assemblies.

Another question............. I noticed that my Luv has disc brakes in the front, I that correct for the 1975 model year?

76 was the first year of front Discs. It's a common thing to swap out the drums on the early models.
