Alrighty let start off by saying this story is no bull shit, hence why im asking for honest advice. Alrighty, my buddy tim and i were out on Division street here in town no more than at 1hour ago(this is where all the ricers and such go to hot rod/hang out, its the main drag of the town i suppose). Well my buddy tim was just kinda being dumb and sticking his head out the window and waving and such. Well a kid in a Mazda 323 starts reving his motor (we were driving down the street and he was hitting a lower gear and lounching forward and such, trying to get a race out of me obviously). Well i figure what the hell at this light ill just go for it no big. Well i spin em off the line (it was perty slick realy) i just take the Focus up to 40 and figure i have proven my point and just let off the gas and coust, he rockets by me. I dont think anything of it. He then comes up next to us and tim and i being the good sports we are, we are laughing and give him a thumbs up. He rolls down his window and yells if we whanted to start shit, and that he would Fing kill us (or something to that effect i didnt hear it well as he was far right lane and i was in the far left lane of the multi lane section). Well i dont worry about and just cary on, doing the speed limit and i dont notice him at all. Well tim and i are driving down the road (where it heads down a hill) and i cacth a glimps of headlights barelling down and swerving through traffic, i think o great not one of these types and was going to just turn off and head home, i dont like to start stuff. Well he gets into the lane next to us ( we are in the far left) and looks like he is trying to clip my front, he looses it and swereves back and forth acrost all the lanes 2times and goes into the curb perty much sideways and looses a tire ( he whent into it whith the back axle(right back tire hit the curb on the far right hand side i can only guess what else he broke). Well him and 2others jump out and get it off the road, i look back and see a state troopers lights behind, i figure well theres no realy reason for me stay( we had our little "race" a good mile back). But i pull up into a parking lot down the road a bit and stop. I look out and i cant see them anymore and the trooper flys down the road. Well i head home, i didnt whant to see those guys that wrecked again becouse they said they would kill tim and i and i didnt whant to see if they meant it (yes we are big wussies). Well anyway, am i realy in deep trouble having driven home after seeing this? I didnt see me as being directly related to this, i was not racing him. I had only jumped off a stop light and accelerated hard just to play around, nothing meant by it. I figure he took it too seriouse or far, either way this was the result. Well thanks for any help guys

Well I wouldnt worry about it in all honesty had they flipped the car and there were people injured then you might worry about it. Just sounds like some little bitch ass punk who got mad cause he was screwing around and got taken off the line and then had to play catch up and it pissed him off!
What the hell is wrong with some people anyway I mean if you cant race on the street what makes you think you would do any better trying to scare some kids?? Then wreck your car in the process acting like a dumbass!
Well Mepr I would just say if your from a small town like I am I would just lay kinda low with the Focus and putt around in the Luv !!
Which brings me to another point I see alot of people fixing up these Focuses for racing....... WHY ????? I have to confess though fellas while I was home I went test driving some trucks Well I have fallen in love with the Ford Lightning!!! I took one out for a test drive and I have to say that the new ones are sporting a 5.7 liter supercharged engine I have to say that it will set you back in the seat a bit when you romp on it !!! Good thing there were no cops around when I got it sideways after jumping on the gas at 35mph.... So I have to say that I was very impressed Well just my two pennies

Hahaha, sorry, not laughing at you but... welcome to my world. If I had a nickel for every time some punk ass ricer threatened to kill me... i would be a gazillionaire. What you have described has happend to me personally many many many times and numerous times to friends of mine.... including the accident part. Man I got stories to tell about altercations while cruising the local spots. FUCK IT DUDE! dont sweat it. the cop didnt see shit and unless the ricer got your plate and gave that to the trooper then you got nothing to worry about. Its his word against yours anyway. I dont really think rice boy is going to do that because he is only going to get in more trouble anyway. Threatening to kill a person is a serious offence, using a car as a weapon to try to run you off the road is a serious offence, he would only be implicating himself further. If he were to turn you in then he is one stupid mother fucker. He would be basically adding insult to his injury. I would say he got what he deserves.

FYI for next time... carry a can of pepper spray in your car, when somebody threatens to kill you, then say alright get out at the next light and lets fuck shit up. at the next light just sit in your car. when the punk ass ricer gets out of his car and comes up to your window. blast him in the face with the junk and then drive off. leaving him screaming his head off in the middle of the intersection. if anybody asks... you were about to get carjacked and you acted in self defence.

Except that can of pepper spray wont stop a bullet if hes got heat. Dont ask for trouble, itll find you if its looking for you. I talk from experience.

alrighty cool enough. Well see our little drag was a mile back, so this as far as im concerned was this little ass-hat trying to intimidate me or something. As far as the focus goes, i think its a bad ass car. It will lounch hard and keep you in your seat through 4th. I had it on the 1/4 and it ran a 16.10 STOCK. Not the fastest but its a good platform i think. Then handling is shear joy, its 4wheel independent whith a mc phearson strut on each corner. It drives like its on rails. That coupled whith the cost (my brother payed 13K for his 01 ZX3 off the dealership lot, brand new) means its a popular car. I wouldnt mind having one, but i like trucks better.

Thats why I carry a Taurus PT-111 compact 9 with a CWP. I've been there... been followed home, been shot at, had guns pulled on me, even had a domestic racer pull out a piece.... all that BS just for beating them in a street race.

i talked to my brother who has done it all. He said dont race people for a week or two. The anti street racing out fit here in spokane is rather impresive and i found out the state trooper that lives acrost the street is in it somewhat (he has a sweet ass red imaplla). So yeah i figure im clear, other wise Jeff my trooper nieghbor would be knocking on my door
