So i was trying to sell my truck, because my mom loaned me 900 bucks to buy a nissan 720, and the nissan was a smokin deal, but that was a week ago and my mom needs that money back so i think im gonna sell the nissan for about 1500, pay her back 1k than fix the luv with the leftover money, BUT i have very little experiance working on trucks, i love doing it but im only 16 so i havent had a chance to learn much, but is there any LUV owners near Vancouver who have installed the weber and would be willing to comeover and help a fellow luvver instal the weber? pizza on me for whoever can help me out with this.

I'm asking if someone would come help me instal it if I get it, is it wrong to start planning things ahead of time?? I didn't set a date and say "come to my house July 21st" so I don't see the big deal...

Since you don't want to do your own research let me do it for you.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=23292&p=177549&hilit=Installing+a+weber+carb#p177549

I am still willing to bet you will try to get someone to do this for you too.

yuck  its gonna be interesting then lol I tore all mine off when I first built the motor, I think I still have my stock intake manifold that I plugged the egr port on, and the exhaust manifold is easy to put a plug in the egr port. the air pump and all that junk can be pulled pretty easy. if you want to keep some of the emissions stuff you probably can but the stock air cleaner will be gone so you cant vent the pcv into the air cleaner anymore... you don't want all that oily gunk going thru your new weber anyway.

You do know that many people have installed a weber with the emissions on.

Depends, sounds like it just needs to run reliable. I would not reinvent the wheel.

your truck is old enough that you don't have to have it, but it wont make a huge difference with or without it other than the time to remove it. the weber has a few vacuum ports you can hook the required lines to.

I'd help since I live right around the corner from ya, so if love4theluv isn't around or available, I'm down. As long as you get all the correct parts, we can research it and get it done. I'm no expert but I've managed to replace and fix problems on my truck with help from people on this site and it's still running strong. Just have to make sure it's done correctly.

I still need to get a weber for mine... ;-)

the vacuum diagram on the under side of the hood makes figuring it out really easy..
