Took me 45 minutes to cook a 12 lb turkey. It took about an hour to heat the oil, and then the 45 minute cook time. Not bad considering it takes a helluva lot longer to cook one in the oven.

Big happy, I got mine at lowes at the end of the season 2 years ago. It is a Brinkman fryer. The pot is big enough for a 16 lb turkey, and is a very heavy gauge aluminum. Some of the other pots are made of flimsy aluminum that may or may not hold up. I think I paid about 50 dollars on sale for mine.

Luv4me, yes I am glad I am not in that head :P

Hey Grimace,

My dad used to be the plant manager at the Brinkmann who made your deep fryer.

We used to have grills out the ass, deep fryers, smokers.... I miss those days.

Had the fried turkey. OMG it was awesome, I'll never eat one any other way now. So juicy it would run down your face. Took us 56 minutes to cook a 14 lb. turkey.
