I added a older msd 5 to my stock 1.8, new ngk vpower plugs, points/Condenser/wires. I have a couple questions......
Do i need to open my spark gap? Currently set at .030, timings at 6 degrees btdc/ POINTS AT .018 I have a stock autozone replacement coil with the ballast resistor bypassed Using points as a trigger.
Truck shows a difference as it idles way smootherand generally runs better. During acceleration it seems as if its lagging and less power then when put back to stock......any help would be appreciated
Also noticeable power loss up hills
