Back in 1972 I customized a Luv Truck which appeared on covers of several magazines and was featured in many other van/truck magazines. It had a custom shell with a tropical mural scene and was made into the first mini van. What we did was cut out the back of the truck and attached the bed and shell to the cab. The rear wheel wells had 4-inch extension flares and 13-inch wide tires with Crager Wheels. Have you seen or heard of this truck? I'd sure like to talk to the guy who's got it now. Hi I have a question for you real quick. I have a 75 with the nback of the cab cut out I was wondering how or what you did to seal it up? I am trying to figure a way to close it up and be semi-flexible so I wont tear up the canopy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to see what it looked like.

I'd love to answer your question about sealing but George Barris (King of the Kustomizers) shop did the work in North Hollywood, Calif. And it was so long ago I can't remember exactly how they did it but it worked and it didn't leak. When I figure out how to post a picture I will here.
