Hello All
Has anybody found a dome light that will work in a 1980 4X4, that will just replace the old one without cutting or drilling new holes.

as always thanks

I'm a complete zero when it comes to 1st-gen LUVs, but I have a P'up (= to a 2nd-gen LUV). I put a GEO/Suzuki dome light in mine and it's great. It mounts flat, so you don't have to cut out a recess to accommodate the socket. I used one existing mounting screw-hole, and drilled the other. The light came from a Metro, I think, but it was the same as the one in the Samurai and probably the early Tracker. It's brighter than my factory light was, too.

I used one from a Mitsubishi mighty max, I had to drill one hole in the plastic light base. I think the whole job took less then 15 minuets

I got one at the local auto parts store. Probably about $5 and better than stock.

I got one from O'Reilly's that fit without drilling new holes.
