74 all original luv just stopped working one day. I thought it was the fuel lump but checked and there is no power to it. Traced back to the relay and found the black with red that goes to the pump from the relay doesn't get power with the key on. But the black with yellow gets a little over 10 volts. It's a replacement relay so I know it's good. Not sure where to go from here. Should I check the voltage regulator? What kind of values at which wires should I be getting?

The fuel pump relay triggers when the alt is charging.

74 had a mechanical pump, electrics started in 76. You have a 76-- or someone has converted or upgraded your 74 maybe.
In any case, black/red to fuel pump should have power in the "start" position only, until running. Then alternator supplys power as has been said.
Disconnect the regulator plug and see if it starts. If it does you have alternator/regulator problems.

Just checked the title... due to the late manufacture date of November 1974, the truck is titled 1975.

The 1975 wiring diagram shows a electric fuel pump and if this is a real late 74 it may have the 75 specs and sold as a 1975 model year.

Yes I would guess you have an early 75. I owned a 74 for many years with a mechanical pump, probably an early 74 model. Great little truck.

BTW Good find!

If you go to the info section of the website Ben has gone through the trouble to load all the wiring diagrams for each year truck. Look up the 75 model and all questions can be answered there.
