Yes i am running a webber. The throtle linkage looks the same as mine. What i had to do is modify things a bit. Youll have to get a wierd rottating nut thing that clamps the throtle cable in, after you get one of those juts grind the T off the end of the cable and your good to go.

Yes you'd need the adapter. Pretty sure the adapters are @ $40 but depending on how much the carb goes for and what needs to be done to it, could be worth it. BTW I have purchased from the this guy (ranchocortina). Seemed to be a good guy...

I built my own throttle cable holder, and used the original arm assembly off of the hitatchi. It turned out real nice and operates wonderfully. I kept having a problem breaking my throttle cable with the stock weber set up. Will post picks if anyone wants them.

Do the 4 Bangers in the Troopers or the P'ups have similar carbs? If so what years?

Troopers and PUPs are similar up to 85. In 86 the 2.3L came out and the mounting studs for the carb are different. The PUP may have been available with the 1.9/2.0L motor for a while longer than the Trooper, so 86 or 87 Pups might be worth looking at.

I don't know what kind of changes happened to the insides of the carbs on 82+ models though. You might find different emissions bits and pieces and maybe a little different jetting, especially on the newest models of the group.

I think the difference might be the addition of a catalitic converter on most models versus just the california models. You think?

I remember reading something about coasting richer valves on some vs slow cut solenoids on others. I forget exactly what the differences were though and what they would affect. You are right though in that some models in the LUVs had cats(cali emissions vs federal), but somewhere in the early 80s all isuzu models got them.

Do you remember if they were tied in with the air injector or the exaust manifold or stand alone (inline). I have a V-6 van and they are all inline with no vac or air injection.

Reason I ask is some Cat's tie back into the carb, while others tie into the air pumps. and the difference is I guess how much crap it pumps back into the engine.
