Strange anomoly started up yesterday. As my subjust on this topic says, the "O" light is flickering. I did notice that it flickered more steadily upon left hand turns. and every couple seconds driving straight. What could do this... I have checked all wiring under the hood by the sterring wheel shaft. :/ Well Let me know guys and gals.

I don't know what year truck you have, but mine only has a gauge for temperature and and O light for oil pressure... Check your oil.

i was about to say the same thing. i have 2 lights one for the alt "GEN" and one for oil. my oil light came on a while back and it just needed a new sensor.. take a pic of your dash and where the light is it may be something totally different.

only thing that should warn you of overheating is the temp gauge.

Thats something else that has been worrying me....that temp gauge stays low....I mean barely above warm.

O is the oil light. I think some trucks have a overheat light, but it has to do with the exhaust temps

mine usually stays JUST below the notch on the temp gauge, maybe the width of the needle away. if i run it at 70 for a few miles it will get just above but still only a needle width or so above
just for comparison sake :p

good than you should be all good for your running temps. i would change out the oil pressure sensor since its only a couple bucks just to be safe if the light is still coming on, when mine went out it would come on from idle to 1300ish rpm and then shut off once i hit 1400.
i like the "needle width" measurement since we dont have marked temps on the gauge

hey cant be all hopeless you have her right?
lemme know what happens with the sensor and if it fixes the problem, i bought a cheap one at cost less (ewwww) and had to change out the connector on my wire to accept a screw instead of slipping on like stock but it worked.

should also check the battery before you start it and see how well it is holding a charge over night.
