Hi guys....been away for a while. Does anyone know where to buy the real '77 Luv ignition switch connector? I still have the orginal switch but the terminal connector attached to it is shot. Right now I have separate spade connectors plugged in there but I want to change it out. Thanks for your help....Don

I've tried finding a source for the Isuzu connectors with no luck. I was building a custom trailer wiring plug-in harness so I didn't have to cut my wires. I ended up using spare connectors and parts from the inside part of an old wiring harness and it worked great.

I might have one here. It's a plastic connector with a place with 6 wires,5 are being used. Looking at the back of the connector top right is unused, center right is solid red, top left is green/white tracer. Bottom right is red/green tracer, center is red white tracer and lower left is green red tracer, is this it?

Just now going through this . Previous owner cut the end off and wired generic switch . I am splicing the factory end back in with solder and heat shrink . Not to high jack , but anyone know how to rekey the ignition lock ?

I asked a locksmiths around here a few years ago about making some keys for my LUV that I never had keys for and he told me to take them the cylinder lock and they would make a key for about $40 and a few others wanted over $100. I would check around your area.

No Luck I guess with the switch connector but I just had two ignition switches re-keyed by a guy here in Phx for $12.00 apiece. It so happened that the two switches I bought from e-Bay still had the numbers on them and he still had the code list to cut the new keys. Took about 20 minutes and away I went.

Luvrv8.....I'm pretty sure my ignition switches all have 5 spade connectors protruding----two on one side and three on the other. There is about a quarter inch space between the two rows. I'm not sure about thw wire colors though...have to look them up. Thanks Don

I had keys cut for my door locks. Took him the locks, he did his thing and had me a key in about 2 minutes. Didn't even charge me for them. I'm sure ignition would be just as easy?

From what my locksmith told me,the passenger side door lock has a code on it that they can use to cut new keys.

Anyone who has AAA Platinum or Premium Elite or whatever it is they call their most expensive roadside assistance plan, can get new keys done for free at up to $200 or something like that. You tell them you lost your keys and they get some contracted locksmith make you a new set. I'm going to do that as a matter of fact when my membership renews in a few days.

Hi guys......Yesterday I stopped at Ellito's automotive electric and he had a 6 prong female plug and the female spade connectors as well. Cost me 15 dollars but I went ahead and soldered five pigtails to the connectors and got it all back together this afternoon. The new 6 prong connector fits real nice and tight and one of its' holes I left empty. Thanks for all your offers, Don

When you wired yours do the 2 small black with yellow strips go to different spots in the harness ? I guess i got a 50/50 chance . Mine were tied together on the aftermarket switch .

Hotrod....I have a blue official series 6 Chevy LUV repair manual and there is a wiring diagram near the end of the book. I wasn't sure either so I looked it up and followed the wire lines on the schematic . I found they both connect together. I think it is pin 5 and pin2 that is shown to connect together. So I soldered them with about a 6''pigtail and connected both to the black/yellow wire beneath the dash-----Don
