I repalced my alternator and my regulator, the gas pump is working if the regulator is disconected,
when i the ignition switch is in "ON" position i did not hear the pump but like i mentioned before once the regulator is disconcted the pump back to ON (regulator and alternator bran new)

Could be de ignition switch??

check the relay..regulator controls the power for the fuel pump.

my relay was messed up so i jumped the pins with a litle wire and havent had a problem with it sence

You won't hear the pump run with the key in the "on" position. Pump only runs in the "start" position and then runs from the alternator/regulator when the engine is running.

Don't struggle with electrical issues on the LUV without doing the Fuse Box Fix.
Its cheap and easy and often the cause of issues that don't seem related.
Do a search.

New alternator, new regulator, new carburetor (rebuild), new ignition switch, still is not working the cars run for few seconds and then shut down when i disconect the regulator i have power in the carburetor, the relay pump also is new is another relay maybe i have to check i find three relays in the small box in the passenger side. I need help my wife said no more money to fix the car LOL..
