Anyone know where to get a rear window gasket. I found one on eBay under kb20 but it's 80$ shipped and earliest itllbe here is end of August. I did some searching on here and found someone running a VW gasket so I bought one and it's junk. Been trying to search around and cannot find anything.

Help!?!? I need to put my rear window back in

Seen it.. Either they sent me the wrong one, or something. Idk. I don't see how you can run this gasket with a stock sized window. We cut my lexan window 1/4" smaller overall and it was still way too tall with the VW gasket. And to use the gasket without looking stupid you have to install window from inside and pull the seal towards the outside to get the window installed.

VW on left. Stock luv on right.

I am running the VW seal with a flex-thru window and I can see how the flat glass would be different due to the frame around the flex thru. I have the arrow below pointing to the slot that my window frame is in and the VW seal has a drip channel that I placed on the outside which looks ok with the frame of the flex thru. I tried the seal both ways and maybe with the flat glass I would try it with the channel on the inside. It was never perfect but a $30 solution to not buying the $80 Ebay seal.

You could try http://www.restorationspecialties.com/ They are good people. Call and talk with them, send them a picture, (like the one in this thread) of what you need, and he will find something very close if not exact. This is where I got my door and window seals from.

How much did the door seals run you? Mine are starting to sag and chip.

It's been 4 or 5 years now, I don't remember. I bought 3 sets at that time, and I think I still have 1 set I never used. I'll have to look close at the seals on my current LUV and if they are good, I may just sell this one set I have. I don't think I spent more than $200, and I got 3 door seal sets, and some window channel items also.

Well, before you try to adapt something--JLEMOND on the IsuzuPup.com site stocks a lot of factory Isuzu parts all the time. He's retired from Isuzu, but he never stops working on them. Last time I spoke with him, he had the window gaskets in stock. He can order anything they still sell, if he doesn't have it in stock. Since you have a 2nd-gen LUV, the seals are identical to the P'up.
