I am still having problems with my 32/36 I got a few years ago. It idles rough and back fires. It may take three to four times to get it to run and then it back fires. I checked the fuel pressure and it is 4 psi. Is the pressure causing the problems. It stumbles when you put the pedal to the floor. Is it flooding or starving? I’ve had problems getting it to run smooth from day one. I may replace it with a Weber 38 if I can't get it to run.

are you running a fuel return line?? if yes then no 4psi is fine.. they recommend 2psi if you arent running a return line

have you tuned the carb at all? mine didnt run right out of the box but only took less than an hour to tune it in

It's been tuned a few times. I have a filter with a side port that the return line is hooked up too right before the carb inlet.

Found out that I didn't have power to the electric choke. Fixed the power issue and it seemed to run better. Last Friday on the way home it started acting up again. I let off the gas went I slowed down in traffic the idle went up to 3500 rpms. The next 20 miles home in stop and go traffic the idle was hanging up.. I pulled the carb today and didn't see anything that was causing it ti hang up.

mine did the same thing the other dayy... my choke is wired to my ignition right now and it just had a wire melt the casing and fuze to my hand brake so im planning to run it thru a fuze and to a switch and see if that solves it

Put it on last night, ran it to work today. Ran ok on the freeway at 70 rpm. Still has some hesitation and stumbles at lower speeds when you try and get on it. Did any of you replace the spark plugs with a hotter plug. I'm still running points.
