I have a 1979 LUV 1.8L/ TH200.… Would a 4.3L bolt up to the original TH200 aside from the motor mounts?

no. different bolt patterns. TH350s are pretty easy to come by cheap though. And the stock shifter will work with it too.

Good to know... I know the TH350 is longer so I would have to cut the driveline...
Would the 600R4 and driveline from a shortbed S-10 fit? Or would the driveline still
Have to be shortened?

It would have to be shortened.

Depends on what you're wanting to do with it and your budget. The 4.3 swap is relatively common now, but for the same amount of headache, you can put in a 305 or 350.

With just about any swap you do, you're going to have headaches, just different ones. Getting a driveshaft shortened isn't that big of a deal.
