my driver side front brake managed to shake off a shim and broke a pad in the process.
i looked into finding the replacement part at napa.. no luck. bought a caliper repair kit and it came with everything but the two thicker shims that keep the caliper in place

does anyone know if the brake caliper shims are the same on the early trooper since the calipers and discs swap to a luv? there are no luvs in the yard around here until tacoma and i need to get back on the road asap.
will ge ta pic if anyone needs clarification of what im talking about..

all that i need are the two thicker shims that hold the caliper in place.
if i can swap them from an early pup or trooper it will save a lot of down time.

The calipers used on pre 81 Luvs are different than 81 and newer Luvs/Isuzu Pups & Troopers. 81 & newer Luvs/Pups and Trooper calipers will bolt onto a pre 81 Luv if used with the matching rotor.

would something as new as 86 work for that swap? there are 2 86 troopers nearby and i know both still have their front brakes
