 Post subject: Gas Guage sending unt?

does anyone know what is a good brand of after market sending unit to buy? and id so what ohms range do i need??

I've had success cleaning them in the past. Just remove and dunk in lemon juice for an hour or so. I believe the range was 0-80 Ohms but I would double check the manual. I've seen them on Chinese web sites but haven't had any luck finding a place to actually buy them.

hey! my gas gauge isnt working either, i plan on just ripping it all apart and cleaning it because it does look like a simple design.. but how do you take out the dash gauges? i dont wanna break anything..

It's probably the sending unit in the tank, not your dash gauge. The job isn't too difficult. Just be safe.

thought i would update. I put the universal sending unit in from JC whitney. works good, just took some fine tuning to get the currect olhms

Do how did u fine tune it???

I bought .one at a parts store for like 25$ and put it in

It reads emty when hooked up like factory and full when hooked up oppiset
