So, are there campers that will actually fit on the luv? I'm considering of living in the back of it to save some money, but theres just not enough room in the canopy for standing. ^_^ Any recommendations? Experiences? helpful input? Is the little 1.8 even strong enough to roll down the freeway with a camper on it? sigh. F' paying rent anymore this sh.ts getting old. With the money I've put in to rent this year I coulda' given my luv a new electric dizzy, a new paint job and 500 wax treatments.

Back in the 70's there were some slide in campers that fit LUVs. I doubt you'd find any new ones today, and would be lucky to find one in decent shape from the 70's. Plus the ones from back in the day had no bathrooms, no grey water tanks, etc. They were not full time friendly.

Those old/small campers were fairly basic. That garden hose is for the the kitchen sink drain. you put a bucket on the ground and let it drian into it. There is no bathroom/shower to speak of. But it would have a decent bed, stove/oven and fridge/ice box.

That black LUV has a 5 lug rear end and duel exhaust. Me thinks its a V-8 or a V-6. I would hate to have that size camper on a stock 4 cylinder. It would be 0-60 in never.

:esmile That is a Lance camper that goes on my F250. It is on it's jacks in that pick. I backed the LUV under it, and lowered the camper a bit. The camper wouldn't even fit in between the LUV fender wells. It looked REAL odd from all angles sitting there like that.
