Hey I think it would be a great idea if somebody could start a parts interchange sticky..like what engine parts will interchange with what. That way somebody like me who is looking to build a motor can decided what head and block combination would work in their vehicles.

That sounds great but you have no clue how much work that will take. I bought a parts manual and look up numbers that members ask about when I have time. If you need to know part interchange I suggest you get a factory parts manual.

Not to chunk a rock, but having done a good bit of work over the years myself, after looking at most of the 'builds' here, I would be hesitant to take any info posted by most, as 'tested'...

I understand where you are coming from...I have a AAS in Automotive Machine. If I try the head swap I will clay the cylinders and check to see how far the valves are from the pistons. And probably CC the chambers of the heads while I am at it!

well if you are asking like engines...

the g161 g180 and the g200 are pretty much parts interchangeable

aside from the g200 having the longest stroked crank and the g1 61 having the smallest pistons and shortest crank... at least from my research thats what i have found

g161 can be found in chevettes

g180 can be found in luvs, isuzu pups, and troopers, most rwd isuzu vehicles

g200 can be found in some isuzu pups, and troopers up to 1985, aswell as impulses and amigos?

so with that thoughts you could assemble a g200 block with a g161 crank, g180 pistons, and g180 head and g200 cam and it would feasibly run... or at least thats what i have come to understand from the oz Gemini forum...

Plenty of info here on the forum.
Plenty of info on the Ozgemini forum as well. Theres a guy there that runs under 10sec with a factory G161Z block.

If you want to make a list please be my guest. It will help people. The info is there. Especially in the OzGem forums, some of which i did myself. Im sure no one would mind you copying provided you ask first and give credit where credit is due.
