I have a 72 LUV and I’m having a issue when bleeding the brakes .. they feel like there is air in the line / at first the pedal feels like it’s working and then the pedal drops .. Does anybody have a tricks to adjusting the front brakes ? I just rebuilt the master and installed brand new brakes & pads all around . any advice ? thanks

Did you bleed at the furthest point from the master cylinder then work closer?

From what you describe it sounds like the master cylinder has been honed too large.

Or there is a cup installed facing the wrong direction.

What work was done on the brakes before the problem came up?

No visible leaks, no air then, you're master cylinder cups are worn or as Ben suggested and it is bypassing fluid. If you're still get air when you bleed the brakes check the fittings, hoses and wheel cylinders. If one is defective it will allow air back in. The bleed with air will most likely be the bad cylinder.

Did you replace the bleeders? Sometimes they get pin holes in them from rust.
