Anyone know what the fourth gear ratio is for a 1979 LUV 2wd 4spd? Need it to do some RPM calculations. Thanks,
Dan

Accoring to my info, to answer that last one you would need to know what spec the truck is.

1000kgs had 4.44
500kgs had 4.11

And they used different gearboxe ratio sets.

I'm just looking to upgrade to a 5 speed. Don't have a trans yet. Will the stock 4 speed clutch work with a 5 speed say out of an '86 or so trooper? Thanks.

Yes.
But Troopers are all 4x4. Use any 2wd MSG-5 that was mated to a 2.3, '86-'95.
