So I'm in the process of rebuilding my motor and I'm trying to clean everything up. On the metal, I'm using paint thinner (which works wonders) and I'm wondering what kind of solvent would work on degreasing rubber. Any info would help. It's mainly for the engine bay with all the hoses and stuff.

Thanks!

Try acetone. It cuts stuff fairly well and doesn't hurt rubber. You can buy it where paint thinner is sold, hardwares and home centers. Also good for cleaning brake parts. Be careful, quite inflammable. You could also use strong soap and water.
