If you get a DUI here in Wa you will quickly become familiar with that unit, and you have to pay for its install. Bryan

My cousin had one of these things. What a pain... not only did he have to pay for install, there was like a monthly rental, and uninstall charge. He would fail at the gas station from the fumes, after drinking a soda... big pain. And i do believe it would hook up to the Luv, his was a mid 80's mitsu. So I don't think it matters too much what type of vehicle it is.

It has nothing to do with the vehicle it self, it can be hooked up to any vehicle with an ignition... All it does is it allows the ignition to make a complete circuit. If the person blows into it and fails, then it will not allow a complete circuit, and vice versa. They just started putting these into repeat DUI offenders here in Saskatchewan. Retarded thing about them is the average shmuck with a bit of electrical knowledge can pull it out and return his vehicle back to normal. But you just got to make sure its back in when they check everything over

i think these things are a good idea, but they need to make em more secure so you cant tamper whith/deactivate them.

I agree. Not to act like an old fart or anything, but a guy has to be a dumbass to get one installed in the first place.

Just my old ass 2 pennies.

I remember being at a high school party and some guy was running around outside begging people to blow into that device for him so he could drive home. It was a court ordered thing. he had like 3 DUI's and these were the days before they took your license away on the first one. He also had a very good attorney apparently because I heard during one of his DUI's he was also found to be in posession of a pound of cocaine, a triple beam scale and several hundred bindles.
