That's much like (even the colors) of the Cessna my Dad's friend had, and I flew in twice as a little boy. It had retractable landing gear though. I might see if I have any old pics somewhere.

Aww man! I love to fly. Took flying lessons while in Japan and learned to fly. Just needed my check flight but the FAA certifier was on vacation and after waiting two months for him to return, we found out he didn't feel like going back to Japan and quit. One thing led to another, received orders to a new base and never followed up on finishing! Now we live near the approach to a local airport and my wife catches me watching the planes fly in and out. Congrat's on doing something that, to me, is so rewarding!
