67-69 Camaro mounts and that's all i could find right off . ill check my home computer tommorow . alot of people have made solid ones . Hooker uses the Camaro mount also and you can drill screw them in and pull the motor then weld them up . I think there are some called power by ace also .

I also see, were you able to put the motor in and not have to push the firewall back???

Yes , let me make this clear , YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CUT THE FIRE WALL OR CORE SUPPORT OUT TO FIT A V8 IN ONE OF THESE TRUCKS . Measure twice and cut once . There is room for a HEI even . Dont cut the firewall floor pan . You will have to trim out the core support to fit a big aluminum rad in , but it will become obvious what needs to be done after you get into . A search on this site will lead you to alot of info .

I used the Powerbyace motor mounts and trans mount and the fit was PERFECT and will be ordering some more for my next motor swap. It was the easiest install that I have ever done as far as everything lining up, No welding or cutting or trying to find which mounts to buy and it saves alot of time with the bolt kit from them. The only thing that I've heard was the Hooker headers will not fit with these mounts but that didn't bother me mine went over the frame (full race) you can see the them in the Projects&Build under Smokeys v8 4x4.

only thing i could think of would be to make a shallow and wide one to keep the capacity

could mail you a rough cut mount you can weld a piece of flat bar to. Then do the setup and weld/drill accordingly.

Stock trans mount with 3/4X3" rect. tubing works good. I have an old pattern in my box for rouging in motor. Weld a flat bar to it and drill holes then weld in spacing. 2-3hours total for all three mounts. :D

If money is no object, perhaps a dry sump system. Have done it on a few street lakesters to get everything low.

With the Z in the frame and a body drop I think you are in a uphill battle. All of us with small blocks could send you pics of our set ups but they wont work with your mods. Basically you are just going to have to do some major fab work to make it work. I can tell you my engines front pully is a 1/4 inch off of the sway bar, 1/4 inch clearance from the water pump/radiator and the dist is tight to the firewall. My firewall is stock and my core support is stock. I have a stock hood with very little clearance. How much fore thought did you put into this engine swap before you did the body drop and z?

It has been done before but the stock hood is the problem. Maybe a TBI set up would minimize how much you need to open up the hood.

There was a 4 BBl manifold that was lower than most made a few years ago. To get hood clearance, mill of the carb flange, this could gain you 1/2", be aware of the linkage movement. Also use a small drop down aircleaner. The 14" will not clear the HEI dist. Use a points type dist with a Stinger or Pertronics conversion. Another method would be to find a lightly damaged high cowl induction hood and cut the scoop off and hammer weld it to your stock hood. The combined results would be about 2 1/2". You will keep clean lines with the C I hood.

A TPI injection system should be slightly lower than the TBI systems. Corvette has a lower TPI I believe.

Engine cushions would be 2267 and the trans 2368. Available at all AUTO PARTs stores.

great idea Old Rob.. If this fella has fabrication skills, why not cut the stock hood along the lines that make up the raised center portion and adjust it to clear his induction and then torch in some metal filler strips to the side, a homegrown cowl induction but keeping the stock body lines?
