So I had it running really good than I put new plugs wires cap and rotter and I have the firing order of 3 an 4 wrong now the wires are right and ithas no power and spudders any ideas cause I'm lost!

are you sure its running on all 4? Might try putting the old wires back on if its not. Rare, but you could have a bad new wire.

Check your vacume lines. When I changed my wires, I accidently bumped a vacume line, it came off, and it ran like crap, wouldn't even idle.

i have replaced the fuel filter and i just put a new weber 32/36 on it.. it back fires tru the carb the only time it dosnt is when the timing is so retarted it dosnt even idle smooth at all im gonna check and see if maybe the distributer is in wrong maybe cause it has to be timing of some sort cause it ran like a champ before i changed wires

.018 - .022 for 72-75, .018 - .020 for 76-80

Firing order 1-3-4-2 for all (as you said)

Timing 12 BTDC at 700RPM for 72-75
Timing 6 BTDC at 900RPM for 76-80 with vac adv plugged

Did you change the plugs too? Did you gap the plugs too far? Spark gap should be .030 for stock ignition. Did you switch to platinum plugs?

yes i changed the plugs but i put the copper core ngk's back in it

Double, triple check the firing order. As had been said, 1 3 4 2 and the distributor rotates to the left.

that was what i had wrong im used to the firing rotation on a normal v8 being clockwise and these motors are counter clockwise my bad she runs like a brand new truck now thanks for all your help....
