There is a guy pretty close to me that has a 1979 chevy luv that is in fair condition. It has good body panels, bumper, windshield and grill. He said it run when he parked it(we've all heard that before). He is asking $1,000 for it. Is it worth it. I just want it for a few parts and would part out the rest.

I think that is high for a non running parts truck in my opinion. You would have to get top dollar for everything to get your money back. Times being tough as they are that isn't to easy to pull off.

i just missed a clean mikado runs and drves, WELL, and they sold it for 1000. i bought mine rough running fo 500. now i have to see that nice truck running around town wishing it was mine!! 1000 for parts is too much.
