eh i think its more of that a lot of people on the forum dont get on very often and when they do its just a quick check around on the posts they already had up etc.
my thread hasn't get much for comments either, but my build wasnt near as intense as yours i just rebuilt a motor, got a weber, etc.. one of these days i will add more to mine (interior mods, whatever i do to the engine (turbo or supercharger) etc.
but hey man its your truck you gotta luv it, and having a build thread online means you wont lose the pics. and you have proof of the work that YOU did not some shop

Ah, I feel you man. My drive from Estes Park to Longmont everyday for school sucks also (about 30 miles one way). But with a good truck or a good bike its not too bad, 8). Your truck is looking good! :smt023

Haha Well this was harder than it looked to do. Insted of just puting a square box to cover my Clutch cylinder, because we had to cut out a big hole on the wheel well, and my dad said a box wouldnt look right so, i made it round and it was formed from a flat peice of sheet metal! haha it doesnt has holes in it now and its bolted it! getting little by little closer! Almost ready to paint!!! And then its gota get put back together! :D So cant wait!

Thanks! and Im hoping for end of may or june. Its gona take a good week probly 2 weeks to paint it, and its not getting rattle canned ether. My dad is a professional auto body painter and its gona be done right. Lots of sanding. haha thats all i do at his shop. So im pretty good at it. lol But there s pretty good dent on the rocker panel that will need to be poped out. and it doesnt help that it was rattle can rino lined, people did that before me. lol It was the light blue. But the paint suplier for all the shops up here will give free paint and primer to the shops and we already got the primer so were hoping that we get the paint for free to! and the cab is gona be painted this orange in the picture below and the engine canpartment and the inside of the cab will be painted black. Gona get alot done more done on it tonight! its getting closer day by day! 8)

Thanks!
Well I got my new rear crossmember done its all bolted it and i just gota run them tight with the impact gun! and weld them to the frame! dont want them bolts to come lose! and i cut the frame to the new lenght after i got it bolted in, its pretty much cut at the rear shackles so it can fit the flat bed.

gota mark and drill the cab lights now, and then cut some holes in the fire wall for wiring and then start sanding! haha I gota pop out a dent to on the passeger side rocker panel, and then start sanding! haha one panel at a time! haha cant wait! 8)

those cab lights look awesome! goes with the look of the truck 8)
are you just going to go without a spare tire :?:
i havent seen cab lights on a luv yet either. you may be the first

i was thinking a dark metallic blue, and deep dark purple two tone  right at the body line above and below. blue on bottom purple on top. but im not sure yet. i think those two would look good together.. with some clearcoat with blue flake. its mostly a street truck. i am going to buy another luv to beat on this is my daily driver

i really want a 2wd luv to set up for baja style racing. i have always wanted to try it, i race enduro on dirtbikes but never tried it on 4 wheels
do the 250 in a luv and then do the 500 on a dirtbike  maybe bring the luv back for the 1000 some year

orange would be cool on a luv, i have seen a few lime green, flat black, yellow, sky blue. never orange, going to look pretty "industrial" orange cab & black bed, big tires and the cab lights. awesome

Haha Yea ill just run without, im not gona be doin much wheelin with the truck i got to much dam money into the thing to beat it up! the only dirt that will get on it is the dirt from the dirt roadin i live on! haha 8) Gota love the country!

Purple would be cool! my buddy had a 79 ford half tone highboy that was dark purple and it really didnt look bad at all! An easier color to keep clean to. A dark blue would be cool to! haha

Baja would be Sweet to! a baja luv even cooler! haha Need to see pic's of that! haha

Ive been told that im just rednecking my luv, but its what i like you know? To hell with everyone! haha But Ive worked hard and learned alot this winter, its the most different luv ive seen! haha I like it! haha

But I got more work done on it today, we pulled the dent out of my rocker panel and started taking 40 grid to my drivers front fender! haha clean down to bear metal. sanding time! haha

very nice. and damn right its your luv who cares what anyone else thinks of it?
no need to beat on them there are so few luvs left in good shape... buy a toyota to beat on

and yeah a baja luv would so much fun to drive throw in a turbo G180 with a 5 speed running an oil cooler, massively oversized radiator w/dual fans a tube chassis and some crossover long arm suspension? it would be a blast to build!

one of these days

i have a few dents i gotta pop out soon too, front of the hood and the corner of the bed where the bumper twisted up and pushed it in.

and a spare tire is still nice if you ever come across a lonely nail on the highway
