Well with the vague info you gave, my guess would be you bound it up somehow when you slid the trans. back in.
Cable or fluid clutch? If cable, adjustment is made at the fire wall near the master cylinder. You want just a little bit (1 inch or so) of free play at the top.

Try adj. the clutch then have some one push it in and try turning over the engine, either with the starter or with a wench on the crank pulley. This will help figure what is bound up.

With a hydraulic clutch, the adjustment is at the push rod between the slave cylinder and throwout lever. I forget the spec, but just set it to where there is some play in the rod.

X2: Yes pushing in (releasing) the clutch will unbind it.

it is a hydraulic clutch, i tried to adjust it by pumping and bleeding and adjusting the two nuts on the slave cylinder rod, but nothing seems to work i figured if i could at least adjust the clutch i could releive the pressure on the flywheel like some of you have said, the tranny did not come off or go on to easy, but im sure i put it back together correctly unless the arms holding the throwout bearing in place some how didnt align right, can i take the rubber boot off of the tranny for the throwout bearing rod to look inside without damaging the rubber? thanks
