I've already done a search on the topic and have not seen a specific parts list required to change out a points distributor in my stock 80 4x4 Luv to an electronic ignition. I do not want a Pertronix unit, I want the real deal. I'd prefer to use stock style componants (as opposed to MSD, etc) in order to keep costs down. So, I understand I need am 82- up electronic distributor, what other componants do I need to complete the setup and where do I find them?

That is all you need.... 83-87 pup distributor is direct bolt in and one ground wire and one hot wire then crank, start, and drive away. It is super easy.

What he said is very true and you will notice a difference as soon as you start it.

One more thing adjust the plug gap to the wider specs of the later engines for optimum results.

I've got one electronic conversion and we just put in a pertronix setup in my sons LUV. Take your pick and go with it. It's one of the best upgrades you can do.
