Many people on here have asked about body parts, and this company has been brought up before, so I thought I would share some information on some dealings I was working on with them.

The company web address is http://www.stautopart.com and they do have quite a few parts for our LUV's at least body wise. Unfortunately their molds they use for the fenders have deteriorated over time and are no longer any good so we can't get fenders, or hoods for that matter through them.

Here is what I was working on, I sent them an inquiry about pricing and was told that basically I needed to make a bulk order. Here is an exerpt from their response to me:

We thank you for your enquiry regarding autobody spare parts for the ISUZU KB20-25. We regret to inform you, that Sri Thai Thana Autoparts are a manufacturer and exporter of auto-body parts, but we only export the the main importer or the minimum order have to be at least 1x20'STD or 400pcs of Fenders. Please feel free to visit our website at http://www.stautopart.com in case you need more information.

So, thinking wow, ok lets think about this, I ask them if I can mix and match parts, they say why yes of course you can, cuz I didn't think I wanted to have 400 fenders. So this is what I sent back to them for my list:

Brand: Isuzu Model: KB 20-25 Pick-up Year: 1972-1980

Panel Fender w/side lamp hole
Code No: IBF120020 L/R
Part No: 5-65400-031-1
I need 100 L and 100 R

Sill Body Floor Panel
Code No: IBF120050 L/R
Part No: N/A
I need 50 L and 50 R

Hoodledge
Code No: IBF120090 L/R
Part No: N/A
I need 50 R

Sill Body Side Outer
Code No: IBF120040 L/R
Part No: 961107-5150
I need 25 L and 25 R

My thoughts were to get some pricing, then maybe find a backer and offer these new hard to find replacement panels out to everyone hopefully at a reasonable price. Well with this order I was still short on the amount needed to fill the crate or whatever they ship them in, so I redid my order and added some fenders and some hoods. Here was there response to my edited order:

Thank you also for the increased in volume of your order for us. I am very sorry to inform you that I have checked some of your inquiry auto spare parts with the production department. Thay has informed me that the mould of Hood and Fender for KB20-25 had problems as it is very old.

Would it be possible for you to increase some other parts volume or perhaps other model to go with your current requirenment w/o hood and fender of KB20-25??. Other parts still ok for example : Sill body floor panel, Hoodledge, Sill body side outer and Set of Sill Body floor panel.

So as you can imagine I was just a little bummed because replacement fenders are why I started this whole thing. I just threw the hoods in because I knew they would take up space and could probably get rid of them. The good news based on this email though is that the body floor panels and the hoodledge (which is the passenger inside fender with the battery ledge) and some of the other things are available. I haven't sent anything back to them as I wasn't sure if I wanted to pursue it without being able to get the fenders. They have floor panels that are full panels for each side driver and passenger and also they have 1/4 panels of each side, for the front which we all know is a rust magnet.

So what are your thoughts, would there be enough of a demand if I were to up the order for a lot of floor panels, inner fenders, they also have tail gates but they say Isuzu not Chevrolet, I think they also have rocker panels.

Any thoughts or comments are welcome, I think there is enough of a demand and if I could keep the price down that would only enhance the demand.

This company has been very quick to answer any questions I have, usually a day turn around as there is such a time difference but they have been very helpful and willing to help if possible.

Thanks to all and I look forward to your feedback.

Chad

That blows that you have to bulk order but I could understand on their end of it. Im sure shipping prices are pretty high on a deal like that. I could use a pair of box sides and rockers though.

I would like to buy new parts, but don't know the prices. I need three wheel houses and some front sheet metal. How much in actual dollars do you have to spend?

Well, that is the problem, I can't get pricing from them until I get enough to fill the shipping canister. I'll send them a new request try to replace the fenders with something else and see what I can do.

What sheet metal are you looking for? Keep in mind fenders are not an option.

I need a new floor from where the front of the seat sits forward. I will most likely make my own because it will be alot cheaper and look soo much better when painted to match the exterior as I am planning to do. Let me know if you get close to enough people. I too needed two fenders and a hood, but from the looks of it I will have to straighten the fenders I have and find a new hood.

I think we should contact THIS place http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/ch ... parts.html
and put them in touch with THIS place
http://www.stautopart.com
and see if they are interested in doing the bulk purchasing.

Its all going to depend on how lucrative LUV parts currently are for carpartswholesale but its worth a shot.

Anyone check on this again lately or look into it recently?

I just bought a super rusted 79 4x4, It has rust in every single panel and fender including and especially the cab. The floorboard in the bed has quite a few holes too.
