Fired her up last night and took the first drive in her today. Ran strong and clean. The electronic distributor upgrade was well worth the 30 bucks I gave on ebay. Got the electric fan and thermostatic control wired up and it makes a world of difference. Still have the ac compressor to install but that comes next weekend. Hope you all enjoy

I really like the electric fan idea. IDK why I haven't done it yet. I hate the extra noise from the fan when It's wound up tight on the freeway.

Thanks mytmouz... maybe one of these years the truck might have close to the power of yours but for now ill take my gas mileage till I get out of the service and finish out med school. rondog it frees up a little bit of power too not that it is a powerhouse by any means but it is a gutless wonder that gets some good gas mileage lol.

I was thinking about an Electric fan setup. What fan did you use, and how did you do the thermostat switch? I've never done one of these, but I kind of know the basics.

Just went to autozone and got a 12 inch with a adjustable thermostatic control that has a sender that goes in the top radiator hose.

I'm thinking of picking up a motor from a junkyard so I can rebuild it (mine needs rebuilding, but I need the truck for work) and I was wondering what kit you used and if you have any suggestions or tips that may make it go by smoother.
