Are some people born stupid or is it something they work on.

stupidity is a skill that is fine-tuned and honed by years of beer-drinking, smoking pot, bad decisions, regret, and a couple thousand hours of watching cartoon violence.

Best of luck to you. We tried, making combined 140K a year, both State employees, paid off 2 houses, no credit debt and they didnt like it, said it was too good to be real and passed us up. We spent on 40K in-vetro to have our daughter.

We are wanting to adopt a 6 year old girl and her 8 year old brother. My wife was her kindergarten teacher last year. We have had our Home Study file submitted to CPS and now we are waiting to see if we are the family that they select. We have three kids already that are 11, 14 and 16. We are hoping to hear soon.

They wouldnt be the first

But it does not effect my skills as a parent or ability to be a loving parent. If you have a problem with me PM me or feel free to stop by my house, will be glad to give directions.

Best of luck to both of you. I know what you are going through. 9 years ago we adopted our daughter from birth. The birth mom is my wife's niece so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. But we still had a bunch of paper work and had the social worker come to our house a few times to check us out. But in the long run it is all worth it!!!

You will be fine...the best advice my recruiter gave me in '85 was to keep my mouth shut and not to volunteer for anything in Basic. Just fly under the radar. Good luck to you.
