I doubt it, to fit your LUV it must be an Isuzu MSG-5 w/cable clutch from a vehicle with either a 1.9 or 2.3 engine. As far as I know Rodeo's never came with the 2.3 4cyl, only the 2.6 or v-6. 2wd Rodeo's also used BW T-5 trannies in some applications, don't know if they were ever matched to a 4cyl or not.

there are a hand full of very early 2WD amigos with it...

also theres "a few" rear drive Isuzu cars with the same trans, just a 20% O\D not a 14.5% cinda hard to come by :!:

in the MSG 5speeds, 1986 up to 1995 is up-graded compared to a 81/85 trans.
81/85 is 17 spline, 86/95 is 26 spline on the out put.
no matter how the 81/85 are treated, they still give up over time with the lower rpm/higher torque of the diesel.
faluers are less with the gassers but still lugging in 5th is not advisable.
