ctmandu, did you use the fuel pump from the r1 as well. Also I was thinking of using the. R1 carbs for my ecotec motors as well, there is a Edison made to use on the ecotec with Weber sidedraft carbs, will the Edis from the system work.

yes the r1 pump as it stops when the floats are full and starts as they need more, great system, no regulator needed... yes i would think it would work fine with the r1's, do you have a link or more info on it and ill let you know for sure?

I don't. Know if that like will work. But I talked to the guy there and he said that the edis non adjustable for the quad4 engine is the same for the ecotec. On there pdf catalog there's more stuff. There's another one that's has a Rev. Limit, Oil Pressure Cut Off, Adjustable Advance. But that one is for the 05 and up ecotecs I think.

Here is the megajolt http://www.autosportlabs.com/megajolt-lite-p-41.html
as for the adapter for the trigger wheel i am working on finding a cheaper way to do it... it is close enough to just be welded on like some people do mine was $200 to have machined, if i had a small lath i would make them my own self for a 10th of that.... there labor price about killed me when they said $200

here you can see where they welded it on...
http://www.autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V4_ve ... stallation

the other option is look on ebay for trigger wheel and the have some larger solid one you could have the center cut out to fit the pully and have it pressed on...

http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/default.asp try this, or ebay.

Ok back to the r1
Hey ctmandu, I notice that there are two types for the magajolt, like the tpm which you used and then there's the map sensor, I read that the map is better mainly because its easier, what do you think or why did you chose the tpm version over the map, I have an idea, but just woundering.

hey cat sorry to hear about the closing shop....i realy enjoyed your R1 project and it inspired me to put motorcycle carbs on my luv....im almost done puting some late 70's mikuni carbs on....but my intake is very heavy and ugly its made out of steel pipe and flat bar that i have cut into tabs.....if you have any parts that i could use that would be great....i am on a very tight buget though.....and im guessing you are keeping your step side the way it is.....im in goldsboro nc by the way
