The LUV's a ton of fun, but what I really want to build is a street rod, preferably a '30's vintage pickup. Only room for one project at a time so I'm trying to sell the LUV.

I will admit that I have been disappointed by the lack of response from the Auto Trader ad. Several calls, but no lookers. Apparently not everyone thinks that these little trucks are special, like we do!

Maybe I'll end up using it as the donor vehicle for the street rod.

Damn I wish I had the money, cause I would make a trip through the pass and come get that baby!! :D but I do understand what your saying I have to get rid of mine probably as soon as I do the V-8 conversion, but I have been doing some thinking I had an evil thought  I was thinking of breaking down the 283 I have and have it worked over and then keep it in pieces and send it to Hawaii when I get stationed there when I get back and then go looking for a a nice little Hawaiin Luv
What do y'all think?

Husker - You back at the Fort, or are you still over in that God-forsaken sand box? Grapeviw's not "over the pass", we're about an hour north of Olympia on the Peninsula.

Based on what I've seen of Hawaii (not too much), you are probably not going to find an un-rusty LUV, or anything more than 15 years old. Your 283 would probably be very welcome as I imagine that older motors like that are pretty rare.

Chevy luvs just get in your blood. But I have now, And when it done, it will be like no other. But anyways GoodLuck to you!!! - Darin

I guess thats cause I'm from Texas!! Anyway Well I have to say though I was stationed at Hawaii for four years and in all honesty they have a Shitload of old "island beaters" so I am hoping that I can get a somewhat decent Luv  Well anyway just my two pennies.
