well this is my first post i just found this site and im glad i did, alot of cool stuff going on here, im buying a 79 luv v8 4x4

i got the vin from the guy to check if the title is clean but its only 13 digits and everything i can find says its supposed to be 17 digits, can anyone help me out?

17 digit didnt start until .. early 80s? i think. just google search older model vin decoders or something. i had to do it once for a 79 ford i wanted info on. ill poke around and see if i cant find what i used

thanks for the pm anyways, and thanks for the welcome everybody. just got it home in the driveway and cant wait to get started on my new project, came with alot of spare parts, extra set of rims and tires, 2 more doors and a front fender panel no dents on the thing save for the front bumper, cab is gutted already. cant believe i got this for 600 and an ipod lol.
