You are steadily making progress. Good luck. My sons is back in the shop. Leaking bad from the front right axle seal. It seems like a fairly decent job to do. I'm thinking a DAY for sure.

Good deal. You will appreciate it more and the knowledge you will have from building it yourself will only help you with other issues down the road....if there are any. When you get it all done you will be glad you did it. These are some fun little rigs. My son's gets compliments all the time, especially from his friends (teenagers), alot of them have either never seen one or have never paid attention to them. I need to get my 4x4 done and then find a stepside.

Yea i just turned 20 and i been trying to get this sucker on the road i just got another jod offer so this will be awsome only bad thing is with no truck and living 45 mins from town kinda sucks but i use to play these online games when i was younger and i been selling stuff suff from these games to people for pay pal hoping to get enough for a clutch kit.

also i got the pistons put on the conecting rods 3 of them move back and forth really easy but the other one is kinda stiff will this cause a problem? if i put the motor together like this my dad said back in the day they all use to be stiff but now he dont know if we should put it together any info on this would be great thanks guys!!!!!!

Hmmm, I'm positive that its supposed to move freely back and forth. It should be tight (as in it shouldn't twist or jingle) but it does needs to pivot smoothly. It should flop to one side when u pick it up by the connecting rod. Maybe check the position of the circlips or take it apart again and lubricate it? :?:

Congrats on the job offer! I haven't had any luck myself... Luckily I'm a freshy in college and I've applied for work study. Still waiting on that....

i dont really know if i should put it together like this with 1 being kind of stiff and the others being lose if u think about it with 1 being stiff and all the others lose it might wear the cylinder walls down fast or somthing idk rly how it all works but thats my guess i might just go ahead and get a new wrist pen but i cant find those on the internet......well i will keep u all updated!

bshelley234 is right on track. It should move freely without jingling. Just how freely? If you have three the way you think they should be and one isn't....then it probably isn't ready. Could be something very simple or wrist pin, connection rod or a piston issue. I know with trying to get a job things can be tight but a machine shop who specializes in building engines can probably be able to fix this issue for a few dollars. It might not need anything replace but just need "a little Love" as a boat motor mechanic friend of mine describes things like this. LOL

Good luck with the new job. I'm still trying to upgrade from the one I have.
