The blower locked up!!!!! I put close to 1000 miles on it and was headed home from Chattanooga and it locked up. I pulled the belt and drove the rest of the way home. I ordered another one and they have made some changes to the front. The new one has a sight glass on the front. The instruction said to check the oil in the blower everytime you checked the engine oil and it didn't last that long  .
It is only going to cost a intake gasket because since it is down I am going to add a boost gauge and the intake is not tapped for it so I am goin to go ahead and pull the intake.

holy craaaap!
hope it doesn't cost too much to fix man.

as for the video.....it is too large to distribute through the internet. my copy of premier doesn't have the feature I need to shrink it enough, so I am at the mercy of my friend that has forgotten to hook that up for me....ugh..... I will email him today and remind him again.

Roots type and the rotors are chewed up at the front by the snout. you can see a aluminum chunk lodged in between the rotors. They are making the blower up but it still sucks. It was torqued to the intake properly, clearance was checked and went long enough I don't feel it could be anything I did so all I can say is STUFF happens. With the new design on the front maybe they have had a problem and are fixing it.

I had 3 days off but my father in law had a stroke and is still in ICU. I have the new blower and have decided to pull the heads because of the aluminum chunks that must be in the cylinders. This is going to be a major job as the heads wont come off with the engine in the truck. I have all the 427 short block ready. All the parts are here, steel crank,7/16" dimple rods,ARP Pro rod bolts,TRW forged pistons, ect. Balanced and waiting to be put together.
It is looking like I am going to put the 427 together and hit the road again next year sometime. Time is something I don't seem to have anymore and I am not really looking forward to the extra work but I will get it done!!
