I am still attempting to find/make/buy some side view mirrors for my 1979 Chevy LUV. In looking at the project photos, I can see that many have been custom made. Would those of you with information or pics of these side view mirrors be willing to shoot me a pic or two and maybe explain how you attached them, or where you found them? Thanks. :o :o

That was a trip to be scrolling down the page and see the pic of my 76 Luv taken in 1980 (yellow stepside with headlight covers). Last seen in Yakima Wa. 1987.

Here is my mirror on the current Luv. I ground the base to match the curve of the door frame.

Those are called Coronados. You might still find some on E Bay. They were popular in the 80's. The ones on the white w/ flames truck above it are painted to match, Baby Coronados.

ps, off topic for ctmandu, where did you get the pic of the yellow stepside (1st one with the rally wheels) that truck would have been mine I posted a while back but the local guy that bought it needed way to much for it? It is now on the east coast somewhere.

Not sure. May have been craigslist... I do search from time to time and also have people send me pics of their step sides to add to my smug mug collection...

Here are some mirrors pics, the 79 LUV looks a lot like early Camaro mirrors which are being reproduced.

Thanks again for your replies. I got some mailed from CA. paid less than $25.00. They are cheap, but look good.
