Hey Dr. I see you're from the city of the lost causes also. How is your disc brake conversion going? I'm really enterested in this swap. Which luv do you have? Do you drive it around lost cause?

I have 3: 76 micky, 79 2wd, 80 4x4. I dont drive my trucks around town, not yet atleast... once I have the new turbo motor going in the 79 im going after that blown S10 with the big block. that ass is mine.

the conversion works great, and Steve up at M&S Auto says its easy to align.

which truck are you? lemme guess........ the orange one with the small block swap? or that super clean blue one with the headache rack?

Unfortunately none. I have a faided blue 80 luv. It used to be in top shape until the young brother inlaw drove it for a while. That blue one going up 70 all the time is a nice truck. Haven't seen the orange one. When your suspension up grade is complete I would like to see it if that's ok. I'm gonna have to start fixing up the luv mobile pretty soon. Was kinda thinking about a 300hp v6 but not sure yet.

OK MORE PICTURES!

OK, This are your Lower Ball Joint Adapters. They are professionally machined and come either bare or with pre pressed BJ. Pretty obvious how they bolt in.

OK, This is your upper Coil Over Adapter. They are professionally machined and bent. Made of low carbon cold roll steel for maximum strength to material ratio. EASY BOLT IN, NO WELDING NEEDED and will EASILY SUPPORT BIG BLOCK WHEEL HOPS.

Here is an Internal Shot of how the assembly works and looks. During Early MockUp stages here.

THIS IS EVERYTHING NEEDED LESS ACTUAL COILOVERS TO CONVERT FROM THE STOCK LUV 6 LUG TO A GM METRIC SPINDLE AND 5 LUG ROTOR.

I understand that everybody would like a list made for them, but time is a little short for me and the volume of kit request has kinda loaded me down. This may take time to get your kit delivered. Everything is hand machined. as of currently........ wait time is 1 month for a kit. I have torn my suppliers up on GM Metric parts! Every other kit made uses same spindle assembly, so theres adapter kits for 4 models now. Monza/Vega bodys, LUV trucks, D50/RAM trucks, Fiero/chevette... so parts back ordered.

Nice. If I still had my V8 LUV, I'd gladly swap this in.

What's the difference in that kit and the standard 299 kit?

exactly what you said, Standard.
No drilled and slot rotors, no braided brake lines or the adapters, standard grade 5 hardware. the brackets are made with cheaper materials, brake pads are std quality, calipers/spindle/dustshield are all reclaimed OE equipment, etc etc.... this is what makes the 299 kit possible.

while the stage 2 kit is entirely brand new. and is designed with the race car in mind.

The Idea behind this kit is your buying my time and homework. I thought that was fair for a long future of engineered replacement parts on the LUV.

I designed the kit and what it requires to be easily made and maintained, for 299 - you get everything you need for swapping better brakes and 5 lugs to your luv. very little thought needed... comes with everything you need and the instuctions give part numbers and direction for all other items. The Idea is ease of the kit.

If you need to do it under the stricktest budget, I sell just the brackets and the instuctions to duplicate the kit using your own sourced parts. for the ebay warrior.... it could be cheaper than what the kit sells for....
